Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) pulls off a sneaky coup against Drew Quartermaine, (Cameron Mathison) Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) and Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) attraction grows, and very special guest Guy Gansert appears.
Sneaky Coups
In Mayor Laura Collins’ office, Curtis is reviewing a copy of The Invader, which features an article about Drew Quartermaine.
Accompanying the article is a striking photo of Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), proudly cutting a large red ribbon and also a photo of Drew. As Laura scans the piece, she turns to Curtis and asks, “You had a hand in this, didn’t you?”-Curtis responds with a simple, “Yeah.”
Delighted by his involvement, Laura gives Curtis a playful slap on the hand, and exclaiming, “Way to go!” The article seems to feature the ambitious Esplanade project that Drew and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) are pushing forward, aiming to take control of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) territory on the piers.
Growing Attraction
Laura is set to enjoy some quality time with her son Lucky this week, who has just returned home from the hospital. In the cozy backdrop of Elizabeth’s living room, a painting rests on an easel while Lucky and Laura relax on the couch. Elizabeth strolls by, her smile radiating joy at their presence, especially Lucky’s; this week, Lucky and Elizabeth will also share some cherished moments together, although their plans may face unexpected challenges.
Yet, the most significant reason for celebration is Lucky’s remarkable survival after being the last target of Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), who attacked him with a syringe!
Very Special Guest-Guy Gansert Of Golden Bachelorette Fame
Golden Bachelorette runner-up Guy Gansert, makes his way to Port Charles, where he spends time at Crimson Magazine with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros.) With a warm smile, and flirtatiously, she remarks, “So you’re single?” to which he replies, “For the moment.” Guy plays a wildlife journalist named Geoffrey Beckett on Wednesday, March 12, and Nina’s interest seems to obviously extend beyond his literary talents.
In this episode, Geoffrey engages Nina in a conversation about his past work, highlighting a particularly poignant piece about his journey through the breathtaking archipelago of Tierra del Fuego. “I have a deep passion for exploring nature’s untouched and unspoiled wonders,” Geoffrey shares in the scene; “For a man of the wild, you certainly clean up well,” she compliments him, in full flirt mode!
