General Hospital Spoilers: Are Lulu & Dante Heading For A Reunion, Or Should Fans Scrap The Idea All Together?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Lante fans were hopeful for a romantic reunion between Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna); however, the couple has been at each other’s throats in recent weeks.
Is the show creating an obstacle in this super couple’s path for a good reason, or should #TeamLante scrap the idea of their favs coming back together?
GH Spoilers: Every Super Couple Faces Challenges
GH spoilers remind fans that every great super couple faces its fair share of challenges before they find their “happily ever after”, and Lante are no exception to this rule.
The two fell in love and initially got married in 2011, only to divorce in 2016, but got remarried later that year.
They then divorced again in 2019. In the mix of all that, they welcomed Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) into the world, and Dante was super supportive of Lulu’s need to forge a bond with her long-lost daughter, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).
Right before Lulu fell into her coma in 2020, she confided in Maxie Jones (Kristen Storms) that she was still in love with her ex-hubby and was planning on telling Dante she still had feelings for him; however, Lulu was never afforded the chance to do just that as she fell into a four-year coma shortly after the fact.
GH Spoilers: The Prague Trip Set Lante Back
GH spoilers note that Dante’s fiancé, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) passed away shortly after her liver donation that helped awaken Lulu and saved her life.
Lulu could sense that Dante was mourning Sam’s death and how much he loved her from the moment she returned to Port Charles, so fans knew that she would likely hang back and not reveal her feelings to her ex, as he was struggling with a massive loss.
Sadly, Lulu’s impromptu visit to Prague has shattered any idea of a romantic reunion between the super couple, anytime soon. Lulu jetted off to Prague in hopes of bringing Charlotte home.
Of course, her daughter is on the run with her dad, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), but Lulu was hoping to convince Charlotte to return home with her.
As Dante followed Lulu to Prague, unbeknownst to his ex-wife, and Charlotte and Valentin fled from the café where they all met up, after Valentin was shot at – Lulu blames Dante for her daughter’s escape and not bringing her home to PC.
Dante is a cop and former WSB agent, so Lulu felt like her daughter was under the impression that Dante was brought to Prague to haul Valentin in. Lulu felt as if Dante should’ve stayed out of the entire ordeal.
She believes that Charlotte may no longer trust her and may believe that Lulu was setting her up to send her father to jail. Lulu feels as if Charlotte may never again reach out to her, and that there’s a good chance she’s never going to see her again.
Will Dante and Lulu get past this Prague conflict? Could they still reunite? Anything is possible in the land of soaps. Still, two major things need to be accomplished before this can happen.
First off, Dante needs to come to terms with Sam’s passing, and as this only happened months ago, he still has some grieving to do. In addition, Charlotte (somehow) returning to Port could be the only thing that helps mend Lante’s fence and bring them back to each other’s arms.
