General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny And Lois’ Secret Gio Pact – Real Dad Kept Hidden?
General Hospital spoilers tease that Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) seems to want Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) out of Port Charles as soon as possible. She found Gio a career changing job playing violin for a Broadway soundtrack.
But by taking the position, Gio would have to leave Port Charles and return to Bensonhurst. But Gio was adamant that he remain exactly where he is. He’s proud that he got a scholarship to PCU all on his own. Lois wasn’t exactly happy about it but she accepted Gio’s wishes.
General Hospital Spoilers – Gio Palmieri has a sad past
Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) later thanked Lois for suggesting Gio work at the Metro Court. As the two of them talked, Lois recounted the story of how Gio’s mother Camilla Cerullo met his father Francis Palmieri.
The two of them had a whirlwind romance and quickly married before Francis was shipped off to Afghanistan. Francis died before he even knew he was going to be a father. Camilla raised Gio alone until she also passed away when Gio was ten years old.

According to Lois, she then reached out to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) and asked him for financial help for Gio. He paid for Gio’s violin lessons and for his schooling in New York City.
But then on his own, Gio applied for a scholarship with PCU and that’s how he ended up in Port Charles. Carly agreed that Sonny can be very generous, but was still surprised that Sonny never mentioned Gio all this time, especially when they were married.
Lois definitely seemed to have a suspicious look on her face even if Carly didn’t notice?

But could there be another reason why Lois wanted Gio out of Port Charles and why Sonny paid for Gio’s schooling in New York and kept him a secret all this time. Could Lois be lying about Gio’s father?
Perhaps he wasn’t a man named Francis at all? What if he were Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zomprogna) son but Camilla never wanted him to know.
Perhaps Lois reached out to Sonny after Camilla died and told him that Gio was his secret grandson? But why keep it a secret from Dante because of Sonny’s mob ties. Maybe Camilla swore Lois and Sonny to secrecy about Gio’s true parentage?
