Valentin is complex, he once was a deformed hunchback and has Cassadine DNA in him. As such it’s guaranteed his life would not be kittens and champagne.

Somehow Anna has chosen to stand by him though the naysayers are many. Last week she caught him in at least two whoppers and now is treading carefully.

Still, Anna thinks it’s possible to explain his behavior if he is being blackmailed or if his daughter Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) has been threatened. For whatever reason Valentin appears beholden to the shady Pikeman group.

GH spoilers: Is Valentin Courting Disaster?

Some fans are convinced that Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) plays a part in the intrigue. The show recently had Charlotte visit her comatose mother and she expressed her great sadness at not having her mom in her life.

When Valentin learned that Lulu’s ex Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) took Charlotte to see Lulu, he was not pleased and demanded that he not do that again. Dante pushed right back and said he will not agree to Valentin’s demand.

The scene was compelling and super charged with emotion. Why would Valentin object to Charlotte seeing her mother? There could be a valid reason for his dismay, perhaps it’s not safe for Charlotte to be in that environment?

General Hospital spoilers: Is Charlotte in Danger?

There could be underhanded things going on at the facility Lulu is at but that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily a bad thing. Pikeman seems more powerful than the WSB and the DVX combined!

It could be that the group has a way to rescue Lulu, but only if Valentin plays by their rules. They may have their hands on the means to bring Lulu out of her coma, such as a secret drug or experiment.
