General Hospital (GH) spoilers show that one cast member has lost a good friend to Covid and she is sharing her grief with fans on social media.
Sonya Eddy plays Epiphany Johnson on the ABC sudser and she is expressing her sadness at the loss of her dear friend. On her Insta she wrote: “Grief. What a short word to describe an emotion that is so encompassing.”

She added, “One of my dearest friends has moved through the veil. For me, it was unexpected. The last time I spoke with him, I didn’t even consider that it was the last time. For this man was full of life, light, and love. Yet, I still made sure to tell him that I loved him. That he was gonna beat this. Unfortunately I was incorrect. COVID-19 took my friend’s life. It was decidedly quick. That’s the thing with this virus. It happens so fast, in a moment, it steals you away.”

Eddy explained that her friend had been in her life for 10 years and she said, “I got to share some of the best days of my life with you is a gift that I will forever cherish.” She encouraged everyone to take care of each other and say, “I love you, even when you find it difficult in the moment.”
Her fans were quick to support Sonya with one writing, “Oh Sonya I am so very sorry for your loss. I can see what a wonderful man he was. You brought me joy a little over a year ago when I was going through something very difficult through a Cameo that my daughters got me. It was a brief moment of joy at a very dark time. I will never forget it. May the joy that you bring to others and the joy he brought to you get you through this. Much love to you.”

Sonya plays nurse Epiphany Johnson on the ABC soap. At the current time she is mainly offscreen thanks to her new boss, bad man Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). But we have faith that Epiphany will triumph in the end, as good always does.
